Andrea and Colby have been living an entangled life for 7 years. Together they are committed to supporting the growth and development of their four year old, River-Jaxsen. Both have committed their lives to sobriety, wellness, and serving families and communities in each their own unique way.
Over the years of their commitment, they have experienced a diversity of struggles that have challenged their relationship. By overcoming these challenges with a devotion to truth, and a passion for long-term, stable, kinship systems, both have, and will continue, to persevere towards a life of authenticity within, and outside of, their work.
By utilizing the tools and skills that are highlighted and shared in the experiences and unique programs delivered by both Andrea and Colby, monumental shifts have been made in their own personal lives, creating a sustainable, stress-resilient dynamic for their own kinship system. These are the tools and skills that are aligned with many of our nations, communities, and families. Through experiencing the work, it has become a shared learning experience, whereas the learning comes from the diverse communities and the participants fully.
Ultimately, the work is really about learning from communities, families, and one another and sharing those experiences with one another in a safe space.
They, along with RJ, share the work across the lands, wherever they are called to, to become immersed in communities, families, and the lives of individuals.
The work is their daily practice. It is a commitment, a dedication, and a devotion, to the future generations in our Indigenous kinship systems.
