This time of year can be challenging for many…
For some of us it’s the first of firsts… The first time without a loved one during this time of year. For some it’s the when we are the busiest, doing multiple things at once to ensure the needs of family and friends are met… a time filled with expectations, social pressures, and overwhelm. For others it’s a time of anticipated family drama, loneliness, and conflict. Maybe for some it’s a time of emotional shut down, resistance to joy, and patterns of internal collapse into resentment and pettiness…
It doesn’t have to be…
Regardless of our circumstances, there are moments of choice.
This 2hr session is designed to provide a supportive experience by exploring solution-oriented, methods and models that will disrupt whatever unhealthy pattern that overrules this time of year.
It’s not about aspiring or striving to a specific experience or feeling during this time… It’s about coming to a place of peace and acceptance towards yourself and any uncontrollable circumstances…
In these two hours we will explore:
Understanding Holiday Stress and Triggers: Explore common holiday stressors such as grief, unmet expectations, financial pressures, and family conflict. Learn how to identify and address personal triggers to stay present and grounded.
Navigating Grief during the Holidays: Discover tools and rituals honour lost loved ones while embracing meaningful moments with those present. Learn how to create space for grief without letting it overshadow joy.
Managing Family Conflict with Compassion: Learn strategies to handle difficult family dynamics, set boundaries, and communicate effectively without escalating tension.
Grounding Practices for Stressful Moments: Practice mindfulness, and grounding techniques to maintain emotional stability during challenging family interactions.
The Art of Not Taking Things Personally: Develop emotional resilience by understanding the root causes of conflict and learning to depersonalize others actions or words.
Balancing Self-Care with Family Obligations: Learn how to prioritize self-care while meeting family expectations, so you can be present as your best/ideal self during this time.
Reclaiming Joy and Presence: Focus on simple strategies to savour small moments of connection and joy, even in the midst of grief or tension.
Supporting Children through Holiday Grief and Stress: Gain tools to help children process grief, manage holiday stress, and maintain a sense of wonder during challenging times.
