In-Power Hours: Liberation Development Training
[“Empowerment” is a word that has insidious authoritarian undertones. It assumes that people are powerless; that someone or something that assumes supremacy is one that grants, permits, allows, or even certifies ‘power’. As Original Peoples to the land, or those who have experienced the continued attempts of colonialism and oppression through structures and systems — or those who are navigating systems that continue to normalize the dehumanization of workers and leaders — we need to challenge this narrative and explore the blocks and limitations that are preventing the power within from being fully expressed and experienced. This is what ‘In-Power hours’ is about… Liberation from the inside out…]
Meetings, Professional Development Trainings, and Team Gatherings need to be more than just a calendar items. It’s absolutely necessary for them to be powerful steps towards unlocking potential, enhancing elite teams, and accelerating collective and organizational success.
The problem that often prevents the investment of time and energy in effective, relevant, quality training and development… is time. Longer trainings don’t necessarily mean they are better trainings - longer meetings don’t mean they are better meetings, longer team and strategy sessions does not mean they are better….. All it means is that they are longer.
This is why In-Power Hours: Liberation Development Training sessions have been developed. Not to take away from the experience and quality of work that has been done from trainings, meetings and gatherings… but to supplement and complement the activation of solution-oriented momentum within strategies that guide projects — along with the systems that maintain them.
“Personal and Professional Growth must be inclusive of changing, disrupting, and evolving patterns that no longer work — both individually and collectively. ”
Benefits:
Relevance and Foresight Alignment:
Each session has been tailored and designed with you and/or your team in mind. We’ll explore real world challenges and case studies that will highlight the systemic entanglement of not just how roles relate to one another — also how each role relates to various levels of systems that glue an organization together.
Clarity of Investment of Time and Energy:
Every moment you invest in these sessions is maximized to the minute. Problem-solving approaches require action-focused strategic systems. Designing, adjusting, and developing these systems disintegrates theoretical fluff and allows purposeful, tactical, and laser-focused pathways for actionable insights and results.
Increase Engagement through Experiential Learning:
Passive learning is obsolete. It’s time to allow room for interactive and relatable content where you determine the pace, take the lead, and cultivate collaborative conversations for breakthrough solutions. We’re flipping the script from static lectures to immersive experiences with works and models that are action-oriented and immediately applicable — leaving you feeling reflective, capable, competent, and a sense of clarity.
Increased Adaptability and Agility:
The pace of the society is only increasing and requires folks to practice agility in their thought processes, as well as within their team interactions. This experience will enhance your ability to adapt, pivot, and respond quickly to change, while strategically grounded and focused. Giving you the leverage to cultivate an engaging and collaborative environment.
~ “It’s not about forcing happiness by avoiding challenges, issues and problems… It’s about revealing the Joy from the results of tackling challenges, addressing issues, and resolving problems - all while affirming our humanity in liberation-based collaboration.” ~
